Carol Tests The Paw Plunger! A Car Wash For Your Dog’s Paws
The Paw Plunger is like a little car wash for dogs' dirty feet. In the shape of an oversized coffee mug, it has bristles on the inside that brush off salt, dirt, ice and whatever else your dog would otherwise track inside. My dog Jolly didn’t mind it at all, but some dogs at the dog run were skeptical, as you’ll see in this video.
Here's how it works: You fill it with water and gently plunge your dog’s paw inside. Then, you have to wipe off the paw with a towel. ("Sorry, we can’t do all the work!" the instructions say. Bummer.) That means the Paw Plunger isn’t a substitute for keeping an old towel by the door. What the Paw Plunger is great for are those days that your dog gets so muddy or salty that you have to get out a bowl of soapy water, which inevitably sloshes out on the floor. This past weekend my husband complained that Jolly’s paws were smelly, hinting strongly that he wanted me to give the dog a bath. Neither Jolly nor I were up for that. So, I skipped the bath and plunged his paws.

Interesting...we have a really muddy yard right now, and I just use a towel to wipe the dogs' feet when it's bad. I may have to look into this. I think those dogs at the park were more "Let me play you crazy lady!" then mad about the plunge. Our dogs treat us like they don't know us when we're at the dog park! : )
This product is AWESOME!? We have a Boxer and a Beagle.? Neither one of them mind the paw plunger at all.? The only thing with the Beagle is that since he's a lot shorter I have to tip the jug to the side a bit to be able to get his feet in it.? But with the Boxer she's tall enough that you just dip her paws right in and all the dirt and grime stay in the jug and you just pat their feet dry.? I definitely recommend this product!!!!!!!!!!!
